Thesis Title
Enticing Baby Boomers to Attend the Singapore Arts Festival:A study on Singaporean baby boomers and their philosophies on the value and benefits of the arts
Thesis Abstract
According to the Baby Boomers Survey commissioned by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, there are approximately 1 million baby boomers in Singapore, and due to the rapid aging population in Singapore, there is a crucial need to understand our baby boomers so as to cater to their aspirations and in the process, build up a category for new arts audiences in Singapore. The aim of this thesis is to gain an insight into the philosophies of Singaporean baby boomers and to look at the possibility of increasing audiences for Singapore Arts Festival.
