Choi Seong Bum

Specialisation: Sound Design
Seong Bum is determined to join the Singapore theatre scene and add to its quality and quantity.
His special interest is in Sound and Design; and at LASALLE, his work includes Assistant
Sound Design on The Maids, Peer Gynt (director Stefanos Rassios), and Eurydice (director Edith
Podesta) for the BA(Hons) Acting programme. Seong Bum also worked as Lighting Operator
on Twelfth Night (director Aubrey Mellor) and Oresteia (director Stefanos Rassios). During his
Foundation year, he worked with Theatre Arts students on 7734 and also acted in Backstage
Pass, with Level 1 Technical Theatre. After completing his Diploma in Technical Theatre and
National Service, Seong Bum is considering degree studies and work in Singapore and abroad.
David Li

Specialisation: Lighting Design
David originally studied Tourism and Resort Management at Singapore Polytechnic before
realising a desire for the performing arts and live events and moving to LASALLE to study
Technical Theatre. During his time in this programme, David has gained direct experience in
all areas of backstage management, its technical and production requirements, as well as
its creative processes. He has been involved as Technical Operator, Assistant Stage Manager
and Set Coordinator on a large number of productions including; Sarah Ruhl’s contemporary
American play Eurydice, directed by Edith Podesta; Wendy Wasserstein’s The Heidi Chronicles,
directed by Tracie Pang; Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Edith
Podesta; and Fly With Me, under the artistic direction of Susan Yeung. Upon graduation David
is due to serve his country and then looks forward to diving into work in the industry.
Eliza Martoyo

Specialisation: Stage Management & Lighting Design
Eliza holds a Diploma in Technology and Arts Management from Republic Polytechnic. Her
passion is in Stage Management and while at LASALLE, she worked as Stage Manager for
Peer Gynt (Acting), and as Assistant Stage Manager for Sweet Charity (Musical Theatre)
and Siren (Musical Theatre). Outside of school, Eliza has worked as Wardrobe Assistant for
various productions including Much Ado About Nothing, Sing Dollar!, KUMAR: Stripped Bare
& Standing Up, The Full Monty, and December Rains. Other than theatre, Eliza loves spending
her time reading and dancing. She hopes to pursue her BA(Hons) Technical Theatre next year.

Magdalene

Mag Melvy Jolie currently studies at LASALLE, pursuing Technical Theatre, specialising in Stage Management.
Mag’s work experience includes being the Stage Manager of Skinned Knee Productions’ The Zoo Story, SPLAT!’s Not You, Then Who? Concert and SJI International’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, as well as the Assistant Stage Manager of NUS Arts Festival 2008: Welcome to My World. In LASALLE, Mag has worked on 14 productions, most prominently as Stage Manager of Journey to Nowhere and Eurydice. She was also the Assistant Stage Manager of The LASALLE Show ’10 – Industry Showcase, The Wonderful World of Dissocia, Twelfth Night, and Grey Matter.
Mag believes that being a Stage Manager is not only about ensuring that a production sails as smoothly as possible from start to finish, but more importantly, is about leaving a legacy behind in Time and a footprint on someone’s Heart forever. After graduation, she intends to further pursue her MA Degree in Stage Management and Playwriting, and to work both locally and abroad.
Nor Alfian Bin Nor Anuar

While studying at LASALLE, Nor Alfian has worked as Assistant Stage Manager for Oresteia
and Twelfth Night; Lighting Operator for dance showcase Fly With Me ; and Radio Microphone
Operator for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Sweet Charity and You’re A Good
Man, Charlie Brown. He also stage-managed for The Heidi Chronicles. After graduation, he
wishes to further improve his skills and knowledge through working in the local theatre scene.
Teo Wee Boon

Specialisation: Stage Management & Sound Design
At LASALLE, Teo Wee Boon’s main focus has been sound design and stage
management. His sound design credits include The Maids and A Midsummer
Night’s Dream at LASALLE. Outside of the college, he is active in the professional
industry having worked for A Cage Goes in Search of a Bird, Night Festival (2010),
Christmas Magic (2010), and *SCAPE Confessions. He has also spent time at
Marina Bay Sand Grand Theatre working as a stage crew for Thriller Live (2011).
Inspired by physics and an artistic departure from reality, Wee Boon is looking
forward to advancing beyond the school and creating his career in the industry.
Klaire Tan

Specialisation: Stage Management & Production Management
Klaire holds a Diploma in Arts Management from Republic Polytechnic and is actively involved
in local theatre. Klaire has a passion for stage-managing dance shows and musical theatre.
In LASALLE, she has worked on musicals such as The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling
Bee (Stage Manager), Siren (Lighting Operator), and Starting Here, Starting Now (Assistant
Lighting Designer). She has worked for Singapore Dance Theatre for Masterpiece in Motion
and Sleeping Beauty in the Esplanade Theatre, and been involved with SDT’s Ballet Under
the Stars. Klaire enjoys experiencing the growth of a production from start to finish and
aspires to work on shows both locally and internationally as stage and production manager.
