Samantha Teo samanteo@gmail.com
Samantha Teo, affectionately known as Samson, began her early training with the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. Encouraged to participate in dance activities since young, she committed herself to Chinese Dance as a co-curricular activity in her secondary school. Driven by her passion, she pursued full-time dance studies at LASALLE where she studied under Albert Tiong, Tammy Wong, Melissa Quek and Susan Yeung. Samantha would also like to express gratitude to LASALLE and the School of Dance for the opportunities to have worked with a variety of distinguished international choreographers such as Loretta Livingston (USA), Jecko Siompo (Indonesia), Roberta Shaw (USA) and Chung Yuen Soo (Korea). Upon
graduation, she hopes to explore the different methodologies involved in teaching and learning dance, as well as exploring the possibilities of developing dance through improvisation.
Yoshita Jacobson yoshidancemoves@hotmail.com
Yoshita Jacobson started dance training at the age of five and was trained in ClassicalBallet, Jazz and Contemporary techniques. This early technical foundation in dance has opened the door to a future of dance teaching. In 1997, Yoshita opened her ‘School of Dance Moves’ for children and adults and attended regular summer classes in Jazz and
Contemporary at the Laban Centre for Dance in the UK from 2001 – 2004. Through her school, Yoshita is able to pass on her skills and love for dance to all her students. Not content
with just running a dance school and undertaking studies at LASALLE, Yoshita has also undertaken further development through professional Latin and Ballroom dancing and has
attained the teaching qualification from the British Theater Dance Association. During her study at LASALLE, Yoshita performed in works by international choreographers such as
Loretta Livingston, Roberta Shaw and Yeun Soo and in various collaborations including Fly With Me (2010 and 2011), APEC function, Art Therapy showcase in 2009, and Esplanade
