Carla Dunareanu

Carla first studied Acting in Drama Plus Arts at the age of 10 in Singapore where she trained for three years under the careful supervision of Roger Jenkins. She was involved in numerous short films such as Gourmet Baby with veteran actor Lim Kay Tong, which went on to open the New York Film Festival. Another short film Carla appeared in, entitled Autograph Book by writer-director Wee Li Lin, went on to win the Silver Screen Awards. Before LASALLE, Carla appeared on various local TV shows such as Kids United, Heartlanders, Blueprint, Incredible Tales, First Mums, En Bloc and Yang Sisters. During training in LASALLE, Carla has acted in productions such as Thornton Wilder’s Skin of Our Teeth; Blood Wedding and The Oresteia, both directed by Stefanos Rassios; Twelfth Night directed by Aubrey Mellor; Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice directed by Edith Podesta; and an adaptation of Journey to the West, Journey to Nowhere. She has also worked on Kill Bill 2.0 with The Puttnam School of Film students. After LASALLE, Carla plans to pursue her acting career both locally and in Germany.

Daniel Rei Crouch

Daniel spent his childhood travelling between Europe and Asia exploring a range of different cultures from a very young age. In Singapore, Daniel attended the United World College of SEA where he appeared in productions such as The Crucible, Red Noses and Nicholas Nickleby. His love for the arts first blossomed when he set foot in Vienna, Austria a at the age of nine where he heavily involved himself in musicals and orchestral ensembles. While at LASALLE, Daniel has acted in a wide range of roles: Thornton Wilder’s Skin of Our Teeth; Blood Wedding and The Oresteia, both directed by Stefanos Rassios; Twelfth Night directed by Aubrey Mellor; Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice directed by Edith Podesta; and an adaptation of Journey to the West, Journey to Nowhere. He has also appeared in short films by NYU Tisch Asia such as Iguana and Spellbound. After LASALLE, Daniel intends to stay and work with the dynamic theatrical growth of Singapore.

Edvin-Nordenskiold

Born in Stockholm, Sweden, Edvin moved to Singapore in 2002 and studied at an international high school, where he was an active student in his drama class. Edvin also participated in extracurricular drama activities, where he made his directorial debut with Romeo and Juliet. He has also been featured in various television commercials in Singapore. While at LASALLE, Edvin appeared in a number of plays such as Thornton Wilder’s Skin of Our Teeth; Blood Wedding and The Oresteia, both directed by Stefanos Rassios; Twelfth Night directed by Aubrey Mellor; Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice directed by Edith Podesta; and an adaptation of Journey to the West, Journey to Nowhere. During his time at LASALLE, Edvin has also appeared in a number of short films for LASALLE’s Puttnam School of Film and NYU Tisch Asia. After his studies at LASALLE, Edvin intends to continue his acting career here in Singapore – in films, TV and theatre.

Erwin Shah Ismail

Erwin was born and raised in Singapore. After completing National Service as an Infantry Officer in the Singapore Armed Forces, this computer network engineering graduate chose to not settle for a deskbound working life and instead decided to pursue his passion for acting at LASALLE. At LASALLE, Erwin has appeared in Thornton Wilder’s Skin of Our Teeth; Blood Wedding and The Oresteia, both directed by Stefanos Rassios; Twelfth Night directed by Aubrey Mellor; Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice directed by Edith Podesta; and an adaptation of Journey to the West, Journey to Nowhere. He is also proud to have represented LASALLE and Singapore in the 2010 UNESCO World Festival of Theatre Schools, held in Peru, where he performed an abridged version of Garcia Lorca’s Blood Wedding. Erwin’s enthusiasm for physical and children’s theatre has been further developed through active involvement outside of LASALLE, including training and performing in shows such as The Gingerbread Man – Storytelling Comes Alive! (Imaginarts), Girl in the Red Hood (I-Theatre) and Shakespeare for the Young (Act3 Theatrics). Upon graduation, Erwin intends to stay in Singapore to pursue his acting career with hopes of performing internationally in the future.

Jon Cancio

Born in the Philippines and raised in the United States, Jon first discovered his love for theatre at the age of 13. He began his training in the International Baccalaureate theatre programme at the International School of Manila under the tutelage of actress and director Tami Monsod. He also attended workshops with Repertory Philippines. At LASALLE, Jon has acted in Thornton Wilder’s Skin of Our Teeth; Blood Wedding and The Oresteia, both directed by Stefanos Rassios; Twelfth Night directed by Aubrey Mellor; Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice directed by Edith Podesta; and an adaptation of Journey to the West, Journey to Nowhere. Jon was selected to represent LASALLE Theatre School in a restaged version of Blood Wedding at the 2010 UNESCO World Festival of Theatre Schools in Lima, Peru. Jon was featured in the Starhub Mobile ‘Rave On’ advertising campaign and appeared in Ho Tzu Nyen’s Zarathustra: A Film for Everyone and No One. After LASALLE, Jon plans to stay in Singapore and live a life performing in film, TV and theatre.

Rummana Yamanie

Rummana Yamanie was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. Trained in Classical Ballet and Classical Piano, at 17, she chose to continue her passion in the arts by taking a Performing Arts major in college. She was accepted into Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) for Diploma in Theatre programme; and a year into the programme, she transferred to LASALLE to pursue her BA(Hons) Acting. During her time at LASALLE, Rummana has performed in several LASALLE productions such as Blood Wedding, Twelfth Night, and an adaptation of Journey to the West, Journey to Nowhere. After graduation, Rummana plans to keep performing in theatre and hopes to use her other professional skills in dancing and classical piano.

Walter Hanna

Prior to LASALLE, Walter studied in Western Australia majoring in Performance Studies at Curtin University, where he was involved in the establishment of Sugar Blue Burlesque. Every month of the year, he devised the character Frank Beaver and hosted burlesque shows to sell-out audiences at the Bakery – ARTRAGE Complex in Perth. Walter also featured in the Western Australian Opera’s The Magic Flute, performed at His Majesty’s Theatre in Perth. Other featured work includes a role in BBC/ABC/National Geographic International collaborative documentary, Gallipoli Submarine. Walter has also appeared in numerousnational TV commercials in Australia. At LASALLE, Walter has acted in Thornton Wilder’s Skin of Our Teeth; Blood Wedding and The Oresteia, both directed by Stefanos Rassios; Twelfth Night directed by Aubrey Mellor; Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice directed by Edith Podesta; and an adaptation of Journey to the West, Journey to Nowhere. He has also devised a one-to-one performance titled Brian and Dianne under the mentorship of world-renowned theatre artist Adrian Howells. Walter is currently rehearsing for Equus, which is being put up by Toy Factory Theatre at the Drama Center in August/September 2011. Upon graduation, Walter will continue to passionately pursue his acting career in Singapore and abroad.
